Drumming Workshop

  • The Sound Mill Society 37710 3 Avenue Squamish, BC, V8B 0C5 Canada (map)

Step into a one-of-a-kind drumming experience using a custom array of handmade industrial drums. In this dynamic class, you’ll explore world rhythms drawn from Swarm’s rich archive of percussive music. Combine movement and sound as you spin from drum to drum, learning coordinated patterns that integrate striking both drum heads and rims with drumsticks for a full-bodied percussive sound.

Dive into polyrhythms and explore a variety of time signatures while incorporating expressive arm movements and body gestures. Whether you’re just beginning or have advanced skills, you’ll develop your rhythm, coordination and creativity.

The session culminates in an interactive group drum jam, where you’ll bring together the rhythms and movement techniques you’ve learned and add your own unique flair.

All skill levels welcome—basic rhythm experience recommended.

Cost: $12
