Poetry & Collage

  • Squamish Public Library 37907 2 Avenue Squamish, BC, V8B 0A7 Canada (map)

Join us for a 90-minute workshop exploring the art of poetry, visual collage and personal expression.

We’ll start with a "burning haibun" exercise - crafting a prose piece, then distilling it into a haiku through a process of elimination.

Next, participants will create visual collages inspired by their poems, using magazines, paper, and other materials.

This workshop encourages letting go of ego, embracing brevity, and expressing poetry through visual art.

All materials provided! But feel free to bring your own magazines, photos/images, stickers, markers etc. to incorporate into your collage.

No previous experience required.

This workshop is presented in partnership with The Squamish Public Library.
