Design and laser engrave custom jewelry from recycled (and new) material at Create Makerspace. Using scrap wood, leather, tire tubes, and acrylic, we’ll create beautiful and unique art that reflects your personal style.

Participants will take home two items of custom jewelry (a combo of a bracelet, necklace or earrings) in the materials of their choice.  

Learning objectives:

• Brief overview of laser cutter theory and safety*

• Choosing materials for laser cutting

• Designing and cutting jewelry pieces

• Finishing and assembling jewelry 

*To use the laser cutter independently, participants will need to take Laser Cutter Level 1.

Sarah Chambers is the Community Manager at Create Makerspace and a strong believer in their "make it til you make it" motto. As a dabbler in all arts and crafts, Sarah's known for her love of fiber arts (including spinning, knitting and weaving).
