Based in Squamish, Jocelyn Pettit is a vibrant, award-winning fiddle player, stepdancer, and singer. With uplifting energy and engaging stage presence, Jocelyn integrates the Celtic and folk traditions of her roots into her music. She has performed across North America and internationally, and received multiple award recognitions. Jocelyn is the founder of Coast Mountain Folk, celebrating folk and traditional music through community sessions, workshops, and an annual Trad Music Retreat in Squamish, BC.
Jocelyn is delighted to be joined by Blackthorn Blossoms, a lively Celtic folk duo featuring fiddler Rosie Carver, and guitarist and singer Michael Viens. As an offshoot of Vancouver’s acclaimed Celtic band, Blackthorn, Rosie and Michael perform music rooted in the folk traditions of Scotland, Ireland and Canada. These accomplished musicians have been making musical magic together for over 30 years, performing throughout Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. They are the founders of the Cat Nap Music Camp on Gambier Island, BC.
